The question is: Is this time ideal to get to know the island well?
One of the questions I get a lot is when’s the best season to travel to Amorgos?
My answer is always the same: Amorgos is beautiful all year round, still it’d be best to travel when the conditions in your life favor it.
The elongated shape of Amorgos and the geography of its villages make it easy to cross the island from north to south or vice versa.
I don’t know if it’s the same for you, but for me the process of booking a hotel is one of my favorite things to do while I’m preparing for or already am on a trip.
Despite the rocky beaches, small bays and mountain villages, Amorgos remains a fairly popular destination for families.
Is Amorgos an ideal destination for budget travelers?
Of course it is!
First, during the low season (April, May, October) you can find real bargains mainly in accommodation and car rental.
I wonder how many articles have been written about the unique, the dazzling Santorini?
There’s probably scores of us who’ve imagined taking snaps of the imposing caldera or swimming in the warm waters next to the volcano.
My favorite place to have breakfast is in Aegiali, just in front of the picturesque port.
There you can find “Votsalo”, a charming cafe which is located at the ground floor of the hotel Miké, with healthy options, many of them homemade and organic, and spectacular view to the sea.
Everything is curated by Thodoris, the owner.
If you’re an early bird, if you like an early breakfast, then the ideal choice is in Aegiali.
Seize the day, starting in Votsalo!
I have to admit that I’m a foodie. I like food.
All kinds of food. Meat, fish, cheese, veggies, fruit and of course sweets.
Chora is a by word for nightlife; something you should definitely experience at least once.
And although the child inside me often wakes up, it’s far more difficult for the young man to rise to the surface; the one who would dance or tell stories on a bar stool all night long.
