My answer is always the same: Amorgos is beautiful all year round, still it’d be best to travel when the conditions in your life favor it.
When to travel
Driving in Amorgos
The road network of Amorgos is relatively new and well maintained.
The road is quite wide in most places and allows for comfortable driving with nice views of the sea!
Motorbike or car
Amorgos is an elongated island where there are things to see and do along its entire length, from north to south.
For this reason the use of a car or ATV or scooter is very useful.
Solo travel
Amorgos is an absolute safe destination for solo travelers.
You can walk in all the villages of the island without feeling the slightest danger.
Favorite drive
Incredible as it may sound, there are days when, even here in Amorgos, you need a way out of the stress that you might feel for a while.
That’s when I like to drive my car across my favorite route.
